Experience and challenges of psychologists in the education system

According to Network of European Psychologists in the Education System (N.E.P.E.S.) (Ed. Kant- Schaps, 2010) one of the most important European Union strategies is development and grows with a help of education. There are many discussions in academic environment on the aspects of service models and tasks of school psychologists, their competence achievements and professional role. More important priorities of school psychologist today are: inclusive education conditions and cooperation between Lithuanian Association of Psychologists and EFPA and Network of European Psychologists in the Education System (N.E.P.E.S.). Challenges of school psychologists today are: practical realization of inclusive education, lack of cooperation with teachers and other specialists. Based on different documentation, research and discussions there is noticed of school psychologists: higher level of expectations for self, better ability to cooperate on European level and others – signs of professional maturity.
